He was a friend of Miss Victoria Lipscombe and named her as his next of kin. His postal address was c/o Fred Dowle Camden. He left Sydney on the 'Anchises' on 24 January 1917 and arrived France via England October 1917. After the war when efforts were made to settle his estate, Miss Lipscombe stated that Frank had told her both his parents were dead. No living relatives were able to be traced. His effects and estate were granted to Miss Lipscombe. She also received photos of his grave. Private Frank ROSS was killed in action at Polygon Wood, Belgium 29 November 1917 age 32. |
